Are there things to do in Puerto Vallarta with kids? Luckily, the answer is yes! There are many options to keep the whole family entertained. From snorkeling, to board walks, to beaches, to great art, Puerto Vallarta delivers a cool vibe and welcomes families. Let’s see what we can get into in this lovely Mexican city!
I didn’t want the thing, but knew I wouldn’t bother to return it. The next morning, I decided to open it. The box was empty. The realization dawned on me. We’d been scammed.
“I need to go to San Miguel before I move back,” my expat friend said.
“I didn’t really get to see much when we went two weeks ago,” I said. “Can we go together? I really want to visit there and hang out.”
On a random Monday, I cancelled my Spanish class and we went to San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico with the kids! And yes, I told my Spanish teacher where we were going and she understood. Because San Miguel is cool. Like bow ties.
One of the things I wanted to do before leaving the Columbus, Ohio area was to visit COSI (Center of Science and Industry). I’d heard great things about the COSI Kidspace. Would you believe I got my act together about a month before we moved? I was SO proud of myself. Until the parking lot exit incident.
Other than the parking lot issue, I liked the museum. As always, the big question: Did the kids like it?
It was June. It was November. Or January. It was anytime a coworker vacationed anywhere. Envy. And a little bit of jealousy that I could tamper down with some deep breathing. Scotland, Tennessee, a Caribbean cruise, anywhere, but especially the exotic. Why was I waiting to travel? These are my regrets.
“It’s nice to meet you! You’re going to homeschool, right?” She said. “You shouldn’t homeschool. You should send your kids to school here in Mexico.”
I was taken aback. However, it ended up being the norm here. I would meet an expat and they would immediately tell me to not homeschool my children in Mexico. The two biggest (and only) reasons given?
Today’s the day! My dogs will finish up their 3 day journey from Ohio into Central Mexico today! That’s right, they went on a dog road trip!
