There are some things to consider when becoming an expat with your family.
In May, 2017, we had the amazing opportunity to move to central Mexico on assignment with my husband’s company.
It was an exciting, busy, and difficult time in our lives. While we knew about the opportunity for many months, it felt like it was a quick transition from the time that the interview and my husband’s introductory trip to Mexico (a requirement before accepting the position) and his start date (it was about three months where I’d expected 6 months).

I quickly realized that technology was making everything easier. This turned out to be especially true when my 100 year old grandmother died and I was unable to fly home to attend the funeral.
